EA Cricket 11 is an international cricket game for Nokia Series 40 devices. You can take charge of your favorite cricket team and lead them to glory in one-day or test matches.
There are lots of game modes within EA Cricket 11 to keep you happy. You can play a limited overs match of between five and 50 overs, take part in the cricket world cup tournament, play in a test match, or take up one of the many different challenges. Challenges in EA Cricket 11 range from scoring a boundary in one over to restricting the opposition to 12 runs in three overs.
These game modes offer plenty of variety and feature teams from all the major cricketing nations, although these aren't officially licensed with real player names, unfortunately. Another disappointing aspect is that you can't play full test matches in EA Cricket 11. Instead, you're given a scenario where you enter a match near the end and must score a set number of runs, or bowl a team out before they reach their target, for example.
The overall presentation of EA Cricket 11 is generally very good. In-game graphics and sound effects are impressive, and the menu systems are polished and have good music. However, the menu options are very small and fiddly to press on smaller S40 phones.
EA Cricket 11 gives you a good amount of control over both bowling and striking. Controls are based around meters and gages which you use to determine position, direction, line and length, etc. If you need help getting grips with the controls, just enter the practice nets that you'll find in EA Cricket 11.
EA Cricket 11 is one of the slickest, most polished cricket games for S40 phones. If it was fully licensed and had a proper test match mode it would be even better.
